Jey Uso Reacts To Lackluster WrestleMania 40 Match With Jimmy Uso: We Did Let The People Down
WWE

WrestleMania 40 saw twins battle as Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso wrestled each other, but why was the meeting such a disappointment?

As WWE began building WrestleMania 40, a few matches were predicted ahead of time. For the most part, WWE changed direction because of CM Punk getting injured and fans turning on The Rock. Still, in the end, it might go down as the greatest WrestleMania ever. Certainly, one of the best within the last decade. We can thank that major change being credited to Triple H.

Once The Usos split, it was clear they would meet at WrestleMania 40. And, that is exactly what happened. The downside is the match did not deliver. The meeting was okay, but nowhere the level thrilling as fans hoped. On Gorilla Position, Jey went over the debacle.

No Denying The Match Was Flawed

“I kind of felt like we did let the people down because I wanted to go out there and have a straight-up banger too,” said Jey. “I wanted to do the wrestling part, but let alone make sure the emotion part is there. It was just a time issue. You just got to play your position on the team. That’s what happened. I’m still happy though. I got a singles match on WrestleMania with my brother. That’s a big picture. So I’ll always have me and him in the face-off at WrestleMania. I’m gonna frame a picture. It’s marked off our box. I just wish we could have went ham the way I know we can.”

Jey got the win and was also one of the many names involved in the main event of night two, where Cody Rhodes dethroned Roman Reigns. Not long after, Jey won a match for a title shot against Damian Priest at Backlash. It might not be the biggest match in his career, but walking away as World Heavyweight Champion could change that tune. So, did Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso bomb at WrestleMania 40 or are people being too harsh?
