According to his wife, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins underwent knee surgery Tuesday to repair a torn meniscus.

During a media appearance Friday on Ireland's RTE One, Becky Lynch revealed the news, joking that running around after their young child would do wonders for his rehab efforts.

In January, Rollins said he was diagnosed with a grade two tear in his MCL and a torn meniscus in his left knee but was not going to miss WrestleMania 40. He competed twice over that weekend, teaming with Cody Rhodes against The Rock & Roman Reigns on the first night and then losing his World Heavyweight title to Drew McIntyre to open up the second night.

When he confirmed the injury in January, Rollins said surgery would put him out of action for three-to-four months but it's unknown if that is still an accurate timeline.

After disclosing the injury, the 37-year-old took nearly two months of in-ring action off, returning in mid-March for a four-match house show run with Rhodes against Solo Sikoa & Jimmy Uso. He then did one more TV match right before WrestleMania: a Bloodline rules no contest against Sikoa on the April 1st Raw.
