Reports suggest that Milan are interested in making a move for Napoli captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the summer.

The 30-year-old Italian right back is a key reference point in the Partenopei squad but even he has not managed to avoid the ire of the supporters this season, unhappy with the team’s poor performances and huge fall from grace so soon after their Scudetto triumph.

Di Lorenzo’s agent Mario Giuffredi recently discussed his client’s difficulties and the criticisms he’s received in recent months, telling Radio Crc that ‘people have short memories’ and that ‘we will take stock and make our assessments in June’, seemingly hinting at a possible summer exit.

As reported by Telelombardia via Calciomercato.com, Milan have set their sights on Di Lorenzo ahead of the summer transfer window and he’d become even more interesting should they decide to replace Stefano Pioli with Antonio Conte.

For the time being, Napoli aren’t particularly concerned, especially as the 30-year-old is contracted to the club until June 2028 with a salary of €3m net per season.
