Notre Dame’s Chances Are Rising To Land 4-Star Linebacker
GREG SWIERCZ / USA TODAY NETWORK

Notre Dame football is actively seeking to bolster its 2025 recruiting class with top-tier prospects, and Pennsylvania linebacker Anthony Sacca emerges as a prime target.

Standing tall at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing in at 225 pounds, Sacca embodies the ideal profile of a Mike linebacker, making him a coveted prospect for the Irish.

Speculation is rife that Notre Dame is poised to secure his commitment imminently, with 247Sports insider Tom Loy recently casting a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Fighting Irish.

Sacca currently ranks as the 187th overall prospect and the 25th linebacker in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, further underscoring his value to the program.

With the Irish already boasting a robust class comprising 18 commitments, Sacca’s potential addition takes on added significance, especially considering the dearth of linebacker recruits apart from Ko’o Kia.

While Sacca has yet to announce a definitive timeline for his verbal commitment, all signs point to Notre Dame emerging as the frontrunner once he does.

It will be interesting to see if the Fighting Irish end up sealing the deal with Sacca. He would instantly take the defensive future to the next level. Marcus Freeman would get a big win with this one.
