Devastating news for Batman fans as Warner Brothers reveals a delay for The Batman: Part II.

The film from Matt Reeves follows on from his 2022 The Batman starring Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, Colin Farrell, Paul Dano, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, Peter Sarsgaard, Barry Keoghan and Jayme Lawson.

While plot details for Part II remain under wraps, fans have been eagerly anticipating what's next in the Reeves Batman universe.

The Batman: Part II was expected to hit theaters on October 3, 2025, as per an announcement from DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran, but Warner Bros's updated release calendar says otherwise.

It is now slated to hit theaters on October 2, 2026.

Fans were not thrilled by the announcement.

As the fans noted, this is not the first Robert Pattinson film to get a pushed release date.

He will also star in Bong Joon-ho's Mickey 17, another Warner Bros release facing delays. Fans were furious when the ten-month delay was revealed, pushing it from the 2024 calendar to 2025.

Now, audiences will have to wait to see him once more don his Batman suit, too.
